Founded in 1888, Woman's Missionary Union is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention that seeks to equip adults, youth, children and preschoolers with missions education to become radically involved in the mission of God. Headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., WMU is a nonprofit organization that offers an array of missions resources including conferences, ministry ideas and models, volunteer opportunities, curriculum for age-level organizations, leadership training, books and more.

We are looking to start WMU back here at First Baptist Church.  I believe that God has led me to initiate this and ask that you please be in prayer for me as we begin this journey.  We already have WMU groups for our children which are held during Power Up on Wednesday evenings.  These groups are Children in Action and Mission Friends.  It is my belief that we need to reactivate our WMU group.  I have someone from WMU who is going to come on September 29 at 6:00 p.m. 

Although this says Women's Mission Union, if we have men who are interested we can have Adults On Mission so please come on Sept 29 at 6:00 pm. in the fellowship hall to hear about the program.
